About Luke
I'm a native English speaker with a Diploma of TESOL (Tafe Queensland) and first-hand experience in learning a second language. I was 25 when I started learning Swedish and now it feels almost as natural as English. I found that focusing on all the language skills equally is what helped me to become so proficient. With this in mind, I try to take a holistic approach to teaching English, where all language skills are connected to one another.
My interests include nature, the ocean, finding/creating adventures and, most of all, travelling. I love to meet new people and learn about different cultures. Sounds cliché, I know, but it's true. I've set foot in all seven continents, gaining plenty of language experiences along the way.

My approach to teaching English as a second language is to keep it relevant, relatable and, most importantly, fun!
Relevant: Why are you learning English? To study or to find a job? Tell me why you want to improve your English and I'll adapt the lesson to your situation.
Relatable: It's usually easier to talk about the things you know and enjoy, right? By adapting lessons to use subjects that actually interest you, it's easier to get involved.
Fun: Well... that one's pretty self-explanatory.
