About Kenya
I am a postgraduate student at the London School of Economics (LSE), completing an MSc in Development Studies (Applied Development Economics), having previously graduated from LSE with a degree in International Relations and Chinese.
Prior to returning to LSE, I spent two years working at one of the world's leading asset management firms, where I developed strong analytical, communication, and project management skills that I now bring into my tutoring practice.
I am multilingual and have a proven track record of excelling across both quantitative and humanities disciplines at the degree level and beyond.
I want to tutor because I know firsthand how much of a difference the right support can make. Navigating competitive academic environments, from A-Levels through to LSE, taught me that clarity, confidence, and the right technique matter as much as raw ability. I want to give students the tools I wish I had had earlier: a structured approach, a genuine understanding of the material, and the confidence to perform under exam conditions.
I find it genuinely rewarding to see a student move from confusion to competence, and I take real pride in helping young people reach their potential.
I am patient, well-organised, and fully committed to each student's progress. Parents and students can expect punctuality, clear communication, and thoroughly prepared lessons every time.

I offer English Language and English Literature tutoring for students at GCSE, A-Level, and IB level. My lessons are tailored to the individual student's needs, learning pace, and specific exam board or IB requirements — whether that is AQA, Edexcel, OCR, or the IB Diploma Programme.
My lessons are designed for students aged 11–18 working towards GCSE, A-Level, or IB English. Whether you are looking to strengthen your analytical writing, improve your coursework, develop your close reading skills, or refine your exam technique, sessions are structured around your specific goals and current level.
I believe the best tutoring goes beyond drilling past papers. I begin by identifying the specific gaps holding a student back — whether that is essay structure, textual analysis, language feature identification, or written expression — and build a structured plan to address them directly.
For English Literature, I focus on close reading and analytical writing: how to construct a well-argued essay, how to embed quotations effectively, and how to move beyond narrative retelling towards genuine critical analysis. For English Language, I work on both analytical skills — breaking down unseen texts using the right frameworks — and creative writing, helping students develop their own voice while meeting the technical demands of the mark scheme.
A key part of my approach is helping students internalise what examiners are actually looking for, so they can apply that understanding independently — not just in coached conditions, but in the exam room itself.
Sessions typically run for 60 minutes, though 90-minute sessions are available for students who prefer a longer, more intensive format. Each lesson begins with a short review of the previous session, moves into focused work on the target area, and closes with a practice task to consolidate learning. I provide written feedback and resources after each session so progress continues between lessons.
