As a graduate of The Mac.Robertson Girls’ High School with a raw 47 in VCE English, I understand the challenges students face and the strategies needed to excel. With experience as a tutoring assistant and a volunteer mentor with The Smith Family, I have worked with students of all levels, helping them improve their writing and comprehension skills. My approach is structured yet adaptable, ensuring that each student receives personalized guidance tailored to their strengths and weaknesses. English can be challenging without the right guidance, which is why I tailor my teaching approach to each student’s individual needs. My goal is to help students develop confidence in their writing, refine their analytical skills, and master essay structure to maximise their marks.
My Teaching Methodology:
Adaptive Teaching Style – I adjust my approach based on each student’s strengths and weaknesses, whether they need help with essay writing, argument analysis, or text response.
Step-by-Step Essay Development – I provide clear frameworks to structure essays, helping students express their ideas coherently and concisely.
Constructive Feedback – I give detailed yet digestible feedback, ensuring students know exactly how to improve their work without feeling overwhelmed.
Exam Preparation & Time Management – I teach students how to effectively plan and write essays under timed conditions to maximise their scores in SACs and exams.
Lesson Structure:
Typical lesson length: 60 minutes (with flexibility based on student needs). Lessons can be focused on essay writing, close text analysis, argument analysis, or general English skills based on the student’s specific requirements.

- Achieved a RAW 47 in VCE English at The Mac.Robertson Girls’ High School.
- Former tutoring assistant with experience supporting students with English comprehension and writing.
- Volunteered with The Smith Family, mentoring young students in reading and literacy skills.
