About James
As a former university math tutor with a major in mathematics, I have experience helping students understand challenging concepts across subjects including College Algebra, Trigonometry, Calculus I and II, Linear Algebra, and Differential Equations. I believe every student is capable of succeeding in math with clear explanations, patience, and the right approach.
I strive to create a supportive, professional learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and working through difficult problems. My goal is not only to help students improve their grades or prepare for exams, but also to build their confidence and develop a lasting understanding of the material.
I am committed to being reliable, well-prepared, and focused on each student's individual learning needs so that every lesson is productive and worthwhile.

Students should take lessons with me because I understand that everyone learns math differently. When I worked as a university math tutor, I enjoyed breaking difficult concepts into smaller, easier-to-understand steps and adapting my explanations to each student's learning style.
I have a strong background in mathematics, including College Algebra, Trigonometry, Calculus I and II, Linear Algebra, and Differential Equations, and I know that success in math comes from building confidence as much as learning the material. My goal is to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions.
