About Akshat
I'm a Computer Science graduate from King's College London and a working developer. I teach the part of game-making that actually transfers everywhere: the programming and the logic. If you want to genuinely understand how games work under the hood — movement, collisions, scoring, game loops, simple AI — rather than blindly following a tutorial you won't be able to adapt, I will get you building real, working games and understanding why every single line is there.

We build playable games from scratch and you write the code yourself. We start with Python and Pygame — 2D games like platformers, arcade-style games and puzzle mechanics — and can extend into browser-based games with JavaScript. Along the way you learn the universal foundations behind all game development: game loops, handling player input, collision detection, managing game state and scoring, and simple game AI. These are the same concepts that carry across to any engine you pick up later. Suitable for beginners, students and hobbyists who want to actually understand what they're building. Online via Zoom with live coding. First 30 minutes free — message me and tell me the kind of game you'd love to make.

Perfect! Akshat has been absolutely brilliant with my son.
I wanted someone to help him gain confidence in programming and be able to use latest tool sets in the market for game development.
He is enjoying the classes so far in a very short amount of time and is looking forward to the lessons every week.
We really appreciate Akshat's help and am sure his support will go a long way in his GCSE's and further !View more reviews

Recommendations come from relatives, friends and acquaintances of the teacher
I can’t thank Akshat enough for the way he helped me work on my uni assignments and exam prep. He helped in everything from architectural planning to deployment to debugging, it made my coursework so much easier to grasp!
Highly recommend Akshat as a teacher for people struggling with complex concepts and need help visualising things. He worked with me for my university assignments and helped me study for them, and my grades significantly improved!
Akshat has always been the person I go to when I need something technical explained properly. He has a way of making complicated ideas feel much less intimidating, especially in coding, maths, and project work.
What I really like about the way he teaches is that he doesn’t rush or talk down to you. He listens to where you’re stuck and then explains it in a way that actually fits how you think. He’s patient, clear, and very good at turning confusion into something manageable.
I think he’d make a great tutor for anyone who wants to learn programming or build confidence with technical subjects. The most useful part was how he explained things at the level I actually needed: practical enough to move the project forward, but still rigorous enough that I could defend my choices afterwards. He made the project feel much less overwhelming.
