About Olivia
I graduated from the University of Manchester with a Master of Astrophysics degree in 2020 and then went on to join a research group in the Medical Physics and Biomedical Engineering department at University College London. Despite all this experience, I occasionally still count on my fingers, and that's ok! Not everyone finds Maths and Science immediately easy, I hope to show you that hard work, perseverance, and a positive attitude can get you to the highest grades. I am friendly and patient, it's fine to tell me when you don't understand something - I will explain it to you as many times and as many different ways as you need!

I hope to show you that enthusiasm and plenty of practice can get you to the top grades, as it has done for me! I am more than happy to help students with any areas of science and/or maths that they are currently struggling with, in any way that suits their learning style and keeps them engaged. My first experience of tutoring was helping my younger sister with her Maths and Science GCSEs during the pandemic. We talked through the things she found difficult, sometimes a few times, to make sure concepts clicked. We went through lots of exam papers together, to make sure she understood how to apply her knowledge, and made revision notes together. She exceeded her target grades in Maths and Science! I then continued GCSE tutoring via the MyTutor online platform, and have been a member since 2020. Lessons are for GCSE Maths and GCSE Sciences (General, Physics, Chemistry and Biology). I generally take students in year 10 and year 11. A typical lesson will be an hour long, but I am happy to arrange longer slots.
