About Tvrtko
Film director and editor with a master's degree. With over 10 years of experience in the film industry, I have practically covered all roles on various sets – from production and editing to directing and writing – participating in numerous projects including feature films, short films, music videos and commercials, working with some of the best global and regional film professionals. I have also worked as a TV producer and editor, so I also have television and broadcast experience. I have been running a film workshop for years, where I teach directing and writing, and bring practical insights from production.

From film theory and editing to storyboarding, directing and screenwriting in Croatian or English, with an emphasis on creative exercises and portfolio creation.
Film and Cinematography -
Explore the theoretical foundations of film art through analyses of classic and contemporary films, with exercises for understanding visual language. We go through the entire process of creating a film, from idea and development, through pre-production and production to post-production and distribution.
Video Editing -
Practical editing lessons in software such as Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve: cuts, transitions, rhythm, sound and effects, with projects where students edit short sequences themselves.
Storyboard -
Learn to draw and structure storyboards - from scene sketches to visual shooting plans, to better prepare for shooting.
Directing -
Theoretical: Basic concepts and analyses of directing styles.
Practical: cooperation with the film crew, directing the actors, blocking, working on set and making decisions.
Script -
Script writing: structure (treatment, dialogue, characters), development of the idea to the final draft, with workshops for feedback and revisions.
The lessons are aimed at high school students and college/university students, but, if needed, can be adapted for younger ages as well as for interested adults, and can be in either Croatian or English.
