My overall approach as a tutor is creating an engaging, comfortable, respectful, and vibrant learning environment. As a professional language teacher I believe the communicative approach for ESL students is meaningful and effective. I build my lessons using Sheltered Instruction (SIOP). This includes: Lesson Preparation, Background Knowledge, Comprehensible Input, Strategies, Practice/Application and Review/Assessment.

I highly recommend Selina as an English teacher. She’s so knowledgeable and well-rounded. I enjoy our lessons and get a lot out of them.
I met Selina during a volunteering program related to English. She is a positive person, and it is a pleasure to meet her. Selina is supportive and open-minded; therefore, she is eager to discuss a wide range of topics. Additionally, she can prepare captivating materials for her lessons and explain things clearly if you have any questions. If you want to find someone who can truly support you during your English journey, she is an excellent choice.
