About Julia

Why do I want to share my passion with you?

Photography is more than a profession for me; it is a universal language that transcends words, a way to capture the essence of a moment, an object or a person. Throughout my career, I have had the opportunity to work on projects of all kinds, from the delicacy of a perfectly presented dish to the precision of a jewel that shines in its smallest expression, and the depth of a portrait that reflects the soul of a person.

Sharing my passion with others fills me with satisfaction because I believe that we have all, at some point, felt the urge to create something unique, but often we don't know how to make it happen. Teaching is my way of giving back to the world some of what I have learned, of guiding others to discover that same sense of fulfillment and achievement that I feel every time I pick up a camera.
These are my reasons:

Seeing your progress is my greatest reward: There is nothing more rewarding than seeing my students overcome their own limits and start taking images they never thought possible. I am proud to be part of your evolution, of your path to creating photos that speak for themselves.

Photography has the power to tell stories: I believe that behind every image there is a story waiting to be told. My goal is to help you discover your own voice as a photographer, to convey emotions and messages through light, colors and shapes.

I want you to have the tools to succeed: Nowadays, competition in the world of photography is fierce. With my experience in commercial and artistic photography, I want to share the techniques and secrets that have helped me stand out, not only so that you take good photos, but also so that you develop a professional portfolio, which allows you to stand out and get opportunities.

Knowledge is meant to be shared: Like many other photographers, I have learned from great teachers and from real experiences. I see teaching as a way to honor what I have learned and continue that cycle of sharing knowledge. The more I teach, the more I learn from my students as well.

I believe in the power of collaborative art: Photography is not a solitary art, even though it often seems that way. When teaching, I engage in a joint creative process, where learning becomes a conversation, an opportunity for mutual growth.

Art evolves and I want to be a part of that evolution: We live in a visually rich and ever-changing world. By sharing what I know with others, I also keep up to date with new ideas and perspectives. Learning never ends, and teaching allows me to always be connected to what's next.

I want my students to feel inspired and confident, not only to improve their technique, but to find their own path in this art. My mission is to help you grow as a photographer and as a creative, offering you the tools and knowledge necessary to turn your passion into a reality, whether you are looking to develop a hobby or take a professional leap.

With this introduction, I hope to convey the personal motivation behind my classes and, at the same time, inspire confidence in students to join this learning experience.

As a professional photographer specializing in food, portraiture and jewelry, my goal as a private tutor is to guide students to develop a technical and artistic approach that will lead them to stand out in the competitive world of professional photography.
My teaching techniques and methodology

I work with a personalized and practical approach. Each student has different needs and abilities, so I adapt the classes to their level, interests and learning speed. My classes combine theory and practice, as I believe that the best way to learn photography is to experiment with the camera from day one.

I use techniques such as:

Professional image analysis to understand composition, light and visual narrative.
Simulations of real projects: in food, portrait and jewelry photography.
Constructive criticism on the student's photos to fine-tune technical and creative details.
Teaching the control of natural and artificial light in different scenarios.
Use of professional post-production with tools such as Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop.

Example of a class program:

Each class has a balance between theory and practice. Below is an example of how a session focused on food photography can unfold:

Theoretical introduction (30 minutes):
Principles of lighting in food photography.
Choice of lenses and equipment.
Food styling and presentation.
Guided practice (60 minutes):
Setting up a scene to photograph a dish.
Choice of background, props, and use of natural or artificial lighting.
Camera settings (aperture, speed, ISO).
Review and editing (30 minutes):
Analysis of the results of the shots.
Introduction to color editing and retouching in Lightroom.
Tips for improvement.

My particularities as a teacher:

What sets me apart is my creative and technical approach at the same time. I don't just teach how to handle a camera or set up a scene, but I guide the student to find their own visual style and to be aware of the story they want to tell with their images. In addition, I offer constant feedback and resolve doubts in real time, both in face-to-face and online classes.

Who are my classes aimed at?

*For photography lovers looking to improve their skills and techniques.
*For photography students who want to specialize in niches such as food, portraits and jewelry.
*For amateur or intermediate photographers who wish to become professionals.
*To creative entrepreneurs looking to improve the visual presentation of their products.

I offer classes for beginners, intermediate and advanced photographers who want to perfect specific techniques and find their own personal touch. Your level doesn't matter, what matters is your passion for photography!
