About Sophia
I'm excited to share my passion for music with you. Ever since I first touched the keys of a piano, I've been captivated by its ability to convey emotion and tell stories without words. This passion has driven me to immerse myself in various genres, from the soulful improvisations of jazz to the rhythmic grooves of funk, the raw expression of blues, the catchy melodies of pop, and the smooth sounds of RnB. Each genre offers a unique perspective on music, and I love exploring and teaching the distinct elements that make each one special.
My journey as a pianist and tutor is fueled by a deep love for both learning and teaching. Over the past five years, I've dedicated myself to mastering not just the technical aspects of playing the piano, but also the theoretical foundations that underpin great music. Harmony, rhythm, and style are not just concepts to me; they are the tools that allow us to create and understand music on a deeper level. Sharing this knowledge with my students and seeing their growth and excitement is incredibly rewarding.
