About Shaniaya
educator who believes learning government should feel empowering, not intimidating. I teach students how politics shapes everyday life — from what’s on your ballot to what’s on your plate. I hold a B.A. in History with a minor in African American Studies from Texas Southern University and a Master’s in Legal Studies from Texas A&M University, along with certificates in Energy, Environmental, and Public Policy. With 5 years of experience teaching AP Government and Political Science, I’ve helped students boost their scores, deepen their understanding, and find their voice in civic conversations. My approach is clear, conversational, and rooted in real-world examples — because when students see how policy connects to their lives, learning sticks.
