About Simran
I have worked at and personally managed a tutoring centre with over 400 children for Maths and English from reception until year 11 for over 7 years. Most of my children have reached levels above the average compared to other schools. Moreover, I do private tutoring for my family and friends for 11 plus, GCSE and A-Levels. I build strong relationships with children and families which translates into academic confidence! All of my past 11+ students (5) have passed and been accepted into Slough/ Buckinghamshire grammar schools.

My teaching method varies from using worksheets, whiteboard activities to simple discussions all with exam questions. I aim to tailor my approach to the learning style of the student as no one person learns in the same way! On the first lesson, I would give them a mini test covering what they've learnt so far, with a close look at their weaknesses so we can go over those in their upcoming lessons by giving them tips and tricks. I would also focus on their strengths so they can be given a push and challenge in these areas. Along with that I would also go over any topics they want me to go over too. Towards the beginning of the lesson, I will give them a starter which would contain a mixture of what they got taught last lesson and their strengths too. And for their reflection/homework, I would give them exam-style questions and go over it together during their next lesson.

Perfect! Simran is extremely organised. Very interested in getting to understand the areas of development your child needs. My daughter and I were very happy with the 1st lesson. She had a folder prepared for my daughters learning record. Her methodology and teaching techniques are clear and articulate.
