About Paul
I am a final year Master's student in Physics, at the University of Manchester. I have been passionate about science since my first years in secondary school, where I loved experiments across biology, chemistry and physics. I loved exploring more challenging concepts in mathematics and physics at A-level, before applying these at University. At university I have learnt about many fascinating parts of Physics and have also been able to learn to code in multiple coding languages, which I have applied in many diverse projects. Through our sessions I hope to inspire genuine interest in the subject which has interested me for so many years now.

My teaching style involves a ground-up approach to understanding fundamental concepts, and building from this towards more complex ideas. These concepts would be applied to example problems, but you would also be prompted to critically evaluate your own understanding, through explaining concepts during the session. I feel that a student is able to succeed best when they are able to reach the correct answer themselves, rather than simply memorising what a student has said.
I am very passionate about maths and Physics, and have loved my degree in Physics. I will also try to incorporate resources that will engage students with scientific material, showing you that it is certainly not a boring subject!
During my education I have done many, many assessment. Performing well in exams is a large part of education. This builds upon genuine understanding of the ideas at hand, but practicing exam questions is a necessary part of succeeding in education. In our sessions we will work through past paper questions, and review which specific elements were expected by examiners.
