About Nathan
As a Master's trained classroom teacher, I have experience teaching a vast array of students from varying ages, skill levels and backgrounds. I've taught in Australia, the UK and the USA.
One thing I've observed is the tendency for Music Theory to seem like this complicated subject that will take a lifetime to understand and implement. Respectfully, I call rubbish on that. I have studied with world-class musicians and take lessons from others currently to update my skills and professional development. These experiences have helped me accumulate a vast array of knowledge and I've identified patterns of thinking that hold students back. My own training has allowed me to be across all of the key concepts of Music Theory, Guitar and Bass from the building blocks, to the nitty gritty and I can assure you, with the right guidance, Theory is easy to learn and implement.
I have played Guitar since I was 10 (I'm now 35... eek! ha!) and have played Bass and Drums for the last 5 years. I have the knowledge and experience to teach absolute beginners properly from the beginning, to helping advanced players dive deeper into their playing and to correct any habits that could be holding you back.
I have experience teaching to the Victorian Curriculum and the Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE).
I am confident I can assist you on your music journey, whether that's Music Theory, Guitar or Bass Guitar.

I am a qualified classroom teacher, with experience teaching Music in Australia and the UK. I'm a multi-instrumentalist (Guitar, Bass, Drums) having studied Music at University and for the last 6 years been involved with Music Education.
I offer lessons in Music Theory, Guitar and Bass from beginners to advanced. I specialise in VCE Music and preparation for University.
I take pride in my ability to simplify concepts and use my wide array of knowledge to assist my students to not only understand the concepts, but make rapid progress.
Music Theory can be overcomplicated, but it doesn't need to be!
