About Karthik
I’m Karthik, a passionate educator and current Master of Data Science student at RMIT with a background in IT Engineering and experience as a Data Analyst. I’ve always enjoyed breaking down complex topics and helping others understand them clearly. My motivation to teach comes from a genuine desire to support students in reaching their academic goals and building their confidence in subjects that often seem overwhelming. With a blend of academic knowledge, industry experience, and a calm, supportive approach, I aim to create a learning environment that is both productive and encouraging. As a current Master of Data Science student at RMIT with a background in IT Engineering and professional experience as a Data Analyst, I bring both academic excellence and real-world insight into my tutoring.
My teaching style is clear, patient, and student-focused. I tailor each lesson to suit individual learning styles-breaking down complex topics into simple, relatable explanations. I believe in building strong foundational understanding while also fostering confidence in problem-solving.
Typical lessons run for 60 to 90 minutes, depending on the student's needs and goals. I use interactive methods, real-world examples, and structured practice to make learning engaging and effective.
I have experience mentoring high school and university students in Maths, Physics, and Computing (including Python, SQL, and data analytics tools). Whether you're preparing for exams, struggling with assignments, or looking to deepen your understanding, I can help.
These lessons are best suited for students from Year 5 to high school (Year 10-12), VCE, and undergraduate students, but I also welcome adult learners or anyone looking to boost their skills in a supportive environment.
