About John
I studied languages at school and university to Master's level. I am fascinated by how languages work and have been fortunate enough to travel widely, offering opportunities to use my language skills. Languages are a gateway to understanding other cultures and ultimately other peoples and I am passionate about conveying these important messages to the students I work with.

I believe in equipping students with the linguistic skills that will serve them in any situation, based on meanings that matter to the student. No sterile topics or irrelevant vocabulary, but starting from a toolkit grounded in higher order thinking skills enabling students to express opinions, ask questions and range across different time frames. Music and games play a large part in the process
