Ms. Smith is a "one percenter" when it comes to teachers. During my daughter's 13 years of public education, only a handful of teachers really made a significant, memorable impression on her or me, and Ms. Smith was one of them. I credit her with instilling confidence in my child during her pre-teen time when she needed it most. One notable memory is when Ms. Smith attended a poetry contest award event, on a Saturday, during her time off, to support my child. That speaks volumes and I'll never forget that. Ms. Smith is remarkable and any child lucky enough to be mentored by her will be better because of it.
