About Sara
I have five years of experience teaching both adults and children ranging in age from six to sixty-six and am currently in the process of completing my TEFL certification through the International TEFL Academy. I have helped many students obtain places at the schools and universities of their choosing. Generally, I delight in the moment when a subject or idea that seemed previously unintelligible dawns suddenly and feel privileged to be a part of these. My methodology involves a Socratic, conversational approach with a good deal of active learning - I believe that it's important to check in with the student continually and to ensure that the material is provided in a stimulating style. Ultimately, moreover, I hold to a philosophy in which the onus is on the teacher to make lessons engaging and instructive for each learner. I have little truck with either a punitive or mechanical learning methodology.

Hi there, I have worked in various roles over the years but have five years of experience tutoring in a variety of subjects, and across a range of age groups. I am also an accredited psychotherapist, which, I believe, gives me a deeper insight into the unique challenges that different students may face. Ultimately, however, I love to teach and will bring a great deal of enthusiasm and patience to the role. As for my own interests, I love endurance exercise, literature and tech but am happy to throw myself into any conversation that takes your fancy. In other words, I am happy to tailor the discussions to your own requirements.
