Teaching Method and Techniques
My approach is communicative, structured, and supportive. I focus on helping students use French and English in real situations, not just memorize rules. I combine speaking practice, guided discovery, and clear feedback so learners build confidence step by step. I use authentic materials, interactive tasks, and personalized activities to match each student’s goals and learning style.
A Typical Lesson Plan
A typical lesson begins with a short warm-up to activate prior knowledge. We then work on a target skill—speaking, listening, reading, or writing—through meaningful activities such as role-plays, discussions, or problem-solving tasks. I include focused vocabulary and grammar support, followed by guided practice and a final activity where the student uses the language independently. Each lesson ends with feedback and a clear plan for the next steps.
What Sets Me Apart as a Tutor
I teach both French and English and understand language learning from both perspectives. I am ESOL certified with extensive online experience, including designing interactive Canvas courses.
