About Timothy
I have a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering. For those who don’t know, it’s a very math-intensive field.
That said, math has been my best subject and I’ve always enjoyed it. I also enjoy teaching others and helping them understand. This has led me to tutoring as a way to sate my passion for math and helping others learn.
You can expect patience, understanding, and a laid-back atmosphere as my tutee. I will never judge you for forgetting the basics, as math has many concepts to memorize.
Let’s learn some math and maybe have fun doing it. Your confidence will come through practice and repetition.

Unless you’re like me, math isn’t fun. I get it. I can relate to that perspective and tutor you as someone who truly had to work to understand math well. We can step through a problem and figure out exactly what concepts you don’t understand. I’m patient and communicative so you aren’t feeling frustrated. We can conquer your math mountains together.
My teaching method is simple. You show me a math problem you’re struggling with. You can also show me your lesson content (if applicable) so I can align with your instructor’s methods. I then bridge the gap for you by walking through the problem step by step. If we hit something you don’t understand, I can explain the principles or mechanics behind it.
Math problems are like games. If you don’t understand a math problem, you likely don’t know all the rules that allow you to solve it. Anyone can learn math if they can put in the work to remember the rules of the game.
If you are in high school, college, or are taking night classes, I’m a perfect fit for you.

When I started taking college-level physics, I quickly found myself overwhelmed by the mathematical parts of the course. Fortunately for me, Tim was in my class. With his help, I was able to quickly fill those gaps and catch up with the rest of the class. I strongly recommend Tim for anyone struggling with math.
Tim is a great teacher and exudes his passion of mathematics onto those he teaches. He helped me understand basic physics concepts through relating questions to ever day life and taught me how to solve them in a systematic and straightforward manner. He is a patient teacher and able to help with any questions from a vast array of math related subjects I have needed help with. Anything from Physics I and II to MCAT related math problems he has helped me with and given me a better understanding of the concepts in general which allows me to attack similar problems with better strategies in the future. Highly recommend!!
Tim is well versed in a variety of topics and is quick to familiarize himself with new material. He's good at simplifying a topic into bite size pieces so the whole system is easier to understand. He's easy to get along with as well which is always a big plus.
