About Emilla
I have been a private tutor for 10 years, teaching English, History, and Politics to students of all ages and levels. My academic background includes A-Levels in English, History, and Politics, followed by an undergraduate and master’s degree in History and Politics. With a strong passion for these subjects, I aim to make learning engaging and tailored to each student’s needs, helping them build confidence and achieve their academic goals. In my sessions, I tailor each lesson to suit the student’s individual needs and learning style. During the first 10–15 minutes of the initial lesson, I assess their strengths, areas for improvement, and personal goals. I also ask about their preferred learning methods to ensure the lessons are engaging and effective. Based on their age and level, I prepare slides, activity sheets, and structured exercises to support their progress. Each lesson will have a mini test at the end to ensure they’ve understood the lesson and so I can track their progress. Each session also includes personalised homework, which I review and mark in my own time to provide detailed feedback and track their development.
