About Will
Hi, I'm Will and I am an experienced mentor and teaching assistant. I recently graduated with a master's degree in Modern Literature and Culture from King's College London, and have a first class honors undergraduate degree in English Literature. I also have a strong background in Maths, with an A* and A in Maths and Further Maths A-levels respectively.
I have a strong academic background as well as experience working with children with special educational needs. Regardless of your or your child's ability, I want to help you use the creative and analytic skills you already have in order to improve your understanding of the subject.

While I have a good selection of resources and lesson plans at hand, I primarily work collaboratively with pupils and students to tailor our sessions to their individual needs. Whether you are struggling to achieve pass grades or would like to polish your top-mark writing skills, we will first establish a foundation and build on it steadily. The most important part of tuition is learning about your strengths and your interests, and using this information to re-engage you in your studies.
In our sessions we will work back and forth between written tasks and conversation, an effective and rewarding structure that helps us track your progress. I will also encourage you to express your own thoughts and ideas to boost your confidence and to allow me to deliver the most effective tuition for your needs.
For essay writing and Maths tutoring, I like to break down problems into bitesize elements. I'm a meticulous person and so am skilled in reducing problems to their core, whether it's a difficulty in understanding how to visualise a mechanics problem, or finding a way to clarify complicated sentences.
I am a friendly and approachable person who gets along with most people, which is very important in quickly building a strong working relationship. While it is my job to challenge you, I will be an attentive listener, making sure we are working at a level and pace that is most beneficial to you.
