- Services are aimed at GCSE students and A-level students applying to university. Lessons are 45-90 mins
- I focus on building a supportive and confidence-building teaching approach to help you feel prepared and ace your exams!
- My approach is tailored to each student's unique needs and learning style.
- Regular feedback and practice exams are integral to my methodology, ensuring students not only understand the material but can apply it confidently.

Firstly, through small discussions, I assess the student's needs, such as whether they want to focus on course content, exam techniques, or both, as well as their preferred learning style. This ensures that the lessons are tailored to their specific requirements.

I then prepare subsequent lessons based on the subject specification, outlining the learning objectives needed for school assessments and the student's learning profile. Lessons are prepared in advance and delivered via Zoom using whiteboard space for diagrams and explanations, and PowerPoint presentations to engage students throughout the lesson.

I begin each lesson by introducing the topic and setting clear learning objectives. To keep the lesson engaging and interactive, I use diagrams and ask questions to reinforce the student's understanding. At the end of the lesson, I summarize the key points covered and suggest additional resources to further enhance comprehension. I also invite students to propose topics they'd like to explore in future lessons, ensuring that each session is tailored to their specific needs and goals for maximum benefit.

I guide my students through various effective revision strategies, encouraging them to use active recall and spaced repetition to reinforce their learning. By focusing on addressing misunderstandings and targeting weaker areas, I help students improve their comprehension and bridge any knowledge gaps. For instance, I emphasize the importance of command words in exam questions (e.g., how, explain, describe) and guide students in creating glossaries of key terms for each science topic. I also help students grasp essential practical terms such as reliability, error, accuracy, quantitative data, and dependent and continuous variables. Beyond the curriculum, I aim to equip my students with transferable academic skills to ensure they excel in their future endeavors.

I utilize high-quality, up-to-date educational content, including exam-style questions, mock tests, and exclusive resources crafted by expert educators. Regular assessments and tests, tailored to specific exam boards (e.g. Edexcel, AQA), are integral to my teaching approach. These assessments help develop exam skills and build confidence. After each session, I assign additional reading, practice exercises, and homework to consolidate knowledge. Recap sessions are conducted to address any lingering gaps in understanding. This comprehensive and structured approach ensures that students are thoroughly prepared for their exams and equipped with a strong foundation for academic success.

I offer university application mentoring services, drawing on my own academic journey and extensive experience. I provide personalized guidance on selecting suitable universities, crafting compelling personal statements, and preparing for interviews. My aim is to support students in navigating the application process with confidence, helping them achieve their higher education goals.
