She is an amazing individual with patience of a saint!! my daughter has level three autism nonverbal. When we moved to Central Virginia transitioning from public school to private day placement was very challenging . we were lucky to have Monique as a teacher for the first year in private day placement . My daughter struggled in the public school system, and unfortunately was bullied as well. When we entered the private school system, she had significant behaviors and little patience and low confidence in herself. Mrs. Monique helped her through the behaviors and help raise self-esteem.. She has truly made a huge impact on my daughter’s life. My daughter is a complete different child compared to how she was in the public school system. She is a happy little girl that is thriving and confident. Mrs. Monique has really helped provide a safe environment for my daughter to be who she naturally is without judgment and help strengthen her skills. She is also a great communicator with me and working together to provide goals for my daughter that can challenge her but not overwhelmed her. She’s very personable and truly is made for this field. Working with children, especially children on the spectrum comes naturally and any family that works with her Mrs. Monique, she gives over 110%. I am truly blessed and grateful to have her be part of my daughters journey.

Monique is wonderful, she is empathetic, kind, patient and completely up to date on how best to support those around her. I could not think of a better person to support my kids outside of the school building, not just as a teacher, but as a positive influence in our lives in general. She is quick to care, sets a phenomenal example of how to strive and thrive as a person, always picks up on others needs, and is sharp as a tack.

I’ve worked with Monique at two different schools, and both locations, she has provided love, care, and learning for all her students!
