About Marya
A long term resident of Edinburgh, I graduated from the University of Edinburgh with a First Class LLB (Hons) in Law and International Relations. I am currently studying for my MsC in Criminology and Criminal Justice, with a particular focus on race and border control.
My experience teaching involves teaching English as a second language to migrant workers at the Anti-Racism Movement in Lebanon and tutoring children in a Palestinian refugee camp.
My favorite thing about tutoring is when people are as excited about sociology as I am

My lessons are geared towards students who would prefer an individual-based, less rigidly-structured class. My approach to teaching is to start with larger, more abstract themes before narrowing down to particular topics. My priority is communication and I structure my lessons based on the persons needs!
