About Isabelle
My name is Izzy, I am 24 and am a Masters student at the University of Hertfordshire. I hold both GCSE and A-Levels in English Literature and Language, and went on to study English Literature and Creative Writing at the University of Hertfordshire where I received a Bachelor of Arts in 2020.
I have worked professionally as a copywriter for several small businesses, as well as the university. I am now studying a MSc in Nursing, and am due to qualify at the end of the year.
In both my undergraduate and masters degrees I have learnt how to think and write critically, and can offer support in exams and essay writing, as well as homework and general reading/writing skills.
Writing can be hard - getting words down on a page isn't always easy! If you are struggling, try not to worry - I would love to help you and will support you in building your skills and confidence.

My approach is simple - I aim to educate and empower students, helping them gain skill and confidence in reading and writing. Before I begin tutoring a new student, I will have an initial session with them (and caregivers if necessary) to discuss the students aims and where they'd like to improve.
I can tailor sessions to a students individual needs, and adapt to ensure they feel supported in their work. I have got years of experience in essay writing, critical thinking and creative writing, and have a plethora of skills I can share with students.
Sessions are typically an hour long, however this can be discussed and adapted if needed.
I can teach secondary school students, sixth form/college students and undergraduate students. I am currently undertaking a masters degree.
