About Jessica
I'm Jessica Wilbert, a former classroom teacher and now one-on-one tutor (six years tutoring, 10+ years teaching total). I hold a Master's in Education, and I taught at schools in the Boston area before moving to California and have been tutoring students one-on-one since. I tutor middle and high school students in math (middle school math, Prealgebra, Algebra 1, Geometry, Integrated Math 1), English (reading, writing, help with text analysis), and History. I'm highly skilled at building relationships of trust and rapport with students and families and excel at reliable communication. For students, I'm able to build positive ongoing relationships, incorporate social-emotional learning, and help build students' confidence, as well as teach to skill gaps and support with executive functioning and organization. For parents, I'm an extremely reliable communicator and touch base on an ongoing basis to discuss what's going well for their child and what additional support he or she might need.
