About Thiviru
Hi, I'm Thiviru! I am an Engineering undergraduate at NYU Abu Dhabi, and I've been tutoring since high school, whether I was helping younger students or guiding my own family members; teaching has always been a passion of mine that I am excited to continue through college.
Having navigated A-Levels myself not too long ago, I completely understand the academic struggles and pressure that come with them. My goal is to take confusing, difficult-to-understand topics and make them highly digestible so you can easily apply them to your exams.
As a former Teaching Assistant at my school, I've guided many AL students through their Physics and Maths coursework and helped them jump up around ~2 grades (that's from a B to an A*) through my review sessions.

My classes typically run for 60 to 90 minutes. They'll often start with us brushing up on previously learnt topics, or learning new topics entirely, through examples and notes that I made during my time as a student. Afterwards, we will practise past paper questions that I've catalogued based on difficulty. Depending on whether the classes are online or F2F, I teach using my iPad to draw out thought processes and write clear, step-by-step notes, which I will share with you after every session for your personal revision.
My goal is to break complex topics down to the absolute basics and build your knowledge from there in a way that makes sense, so you can apply it no matter the questions posed. Classes best suited for high school students following the Cambridge or Edexcel curriculum.
