About Abhay

I have 10+ years of tutoring math and science, from elementary schoolers to advanced college students. Here's some of my teaching experience: - I have been a teaching assistant and physics instructor at the university level for 9 semesters. - I've been a university tutor in 46 courses for 12 semesters and counting. - I've tutored 2 students in SAT math prep, with both receiving 1580+ out of 1600 scores. - I helped teach a high school AP Physics I class for a year. - I teach and mentor elementary & middle schoolers as a member of The Education Project. About the lesson

"Give someone a fish and you feed them for a day. Teach them how to fish and you feed them for a lifetime." Rather than show you how to do specific problems, I strive to build a general understanding of the subject and explain the "why" behind the problems. Goal: Long term, the goal is to help students become independent and reach a point where students don't need these sessions any longer. Strategy: During our tutoring sessions, I will identify your deficiencies in the given subject while you work, and we will work on tackling those areas as we continue the tutoring and progressing with the subject.
