About Alexander
I am finishing up my BS in pure mathematics this spring and next fall I will start as a PhD student studying theoretical physics. All to say I know my way around the fundementals of math and physics. I have been work part time 10 hours a week as a teaching assistant for the last two years for Yale's first year undergraduate calculus series. Additionally, for the last 6 months I have been working as a private tutor helping students study precalculus and AP physics. I have helped many students succeed in their studies in both high school and college because I have the knowledge and experiencing breaking down complicated concepts in ways digestible for my students. I hope to continue doing so for a wider community of learners.

I am currently studying higher level pure mathematics and really find the beauty behind each problem inspiring. Studying mathematics makes me feel so much joy, being able to understand and develop systems for higher level problem solving and I love sharing this knowledge with younger students. I feel with my extremely strong foundation in mathematics I can give back to students from a unique and skills building perspective, focusing my lessons to develop problem solving techniques instead of just asking "is this the right answer". Over the last few years I have helped so many high school students with their struggles in algebra to calculus, teaching them how to approach math and understand it, greatly improving not only their grades but their appreciation for mathematics. My lessons are for high school students in any math or physics course.
