About Caleb
I have tutored for 2 years in the mathematics department at Central Washington University, as I got my undergraduate degree. While there I was also able to take part in the Kittitas Valley Math Circle, where we were able to teach math through games and activities with local elementary students. This experience has allowed me to appreciate how rewarding it is to share mathematics with others.

My focus in tutoring is ensuring that pupils understand the underlying concepts behind the lesson rather than formula memorization and accomplish this by explaining the math step by step. A typical lesson would start with an explanation of the concepts we will work on, then we will move into a guided practice where we can work on problems together, and finally a more independent practicing of the concepts to solidly understand the methods, and gain confidence with them. These lessons are geared towards Algebra, Geometry, Pre-Calc, Calculus students.
