About Eric
My love for mathematics began with curiosity about how abstract symbols can describe the physical world, technology, and patterns in nature. I earned a B.Sc in Mathematical Physics and later an M.Sc in Computational Mathematics, which allowed me to explore both theoretical depth and modern applications. With 12 years of teaching experience, I have supported students in building strong foundations and achieving academic success through patience and clarity.
I believe math teaching should focus on understanding, not fear. My teaching style emphasises breaking complex problems into manageable steps, encouraging questions, and helping learners feel supported as they grow. I adapt lessons to each student’s pace, ensuring they develop both skill and confidence.
Outside tutoring, I remain connected to mathematics through modelling work, continued study, and interdisciplinary exploration. Teaching is meaningful because I witness learners transform from uncertainty into capable, confident thinkers who can approach challenges with calm logic and independence.

Mathematics becomes far more approachable when students develop strong conceptual clarity instead of relying on rote memorisation. My lessons focus on guiding learners through algebra, calculus, geometry, and probability with step-by-step reasoning that builds confidence over time. I help students see mathematics as a connected system of ideas, where each topic supports the next and problem-solving becomes a skill that grows naturally through practice.
Lessons are structured around the student’s level and learning needs. Beginners strengthen number foundations, equation solving, and logical patterns with supportive reinforcement. Intermediate learners develop stronger skills in functions, graph interpretation, multi-step word problems, and exam strategy. Advanced students refine calculus techniques, proof-based reasoning, and complex analytical problem solving through deeper challenges and guided correction. Every session encourages steady progress and independent thinking.
Math lessons also shape learners into stronger thinkers beyond the classroom. Students develop focus, discipline, and trust in their ability to approach difficult questions calmly. Over time, they begin solving problems with greater confidence and less anxiety. My goal is to help learners excel academically while also building long-lasting mathematical strength and intellectual independence.
