About Maëlle
My journey into mathematics began with a fascination for structure, logic, and problem-solving patterns. I earned an M.Sc in Mathematics Education, where I studied advanced mathematical concepts alongside effective instructional strategies. Over the past 12 years, I have worked with learners across elementary school math, middle school math, geometry, algebra, and SAT math, helping them overcome anxiety and build lasting confidence. I teach with patience, empathy, and adaptability, ensuring explanations align with each learner’s pace and understanding. I use visual representations, structured examples, and real-life applications to make abstract ideas accessible. Many students who initially struggle gradually become confident, independent thinkers. Beyond teaching, I continue refining instructional methods and staying informed about educational research. Teaching mathematics is deeply fulfilling because it empowers learners with confidence, analytical skills, and lifelong problem-solving abilities.

Mathematics becomes far more approachable when learners clearly understand the reasoning behind each step rather than relying on memorized formulas. In my lessons, I guide students through elementary school math, middle school math, geometry, algebra, and SAT math using structured explanations that highlight patterns, logical connections, and gradual skill development. I help learners see how mathematical ideas build upon one another in a meaningful and organized way.
Lesson plans are carefully adapted to each learner’s academic stage and confidence level. Beginners focus on number sense, arithmetic accuracy, and foundational reasoning skills. Intermediate learners strengthen algebraic thinking, geometry concepts, and multi-step problem-solving abilities. Advanced learners focus on SAT math strategies, efficient reasoning, and flexible problem-solving approaches. Every lesson includes guided practice, explanation, discussion, and reflective feedback to reinforce deep understanding.
Math lessons also nurture persistence, analytical thinking, and calm problem-solving habits. As learners gain confidence, they approach challenges with clarity and structure. My goal is to help students develop strong mathematical foundations that support academic achievement and everyday logical reasoning.
