About Holly
Manchester based Mathematics Masters student. Experience in teaching maths to children of ages 5-16. Can teach beginner mathematics or GCSE and A-Level.
Have previously done both face to face and a lot of online tutoring through Zoom. I am happy to work with any exam board and provide a flexible curriculum.

The first step for me is to gage the student's perception of the problem by observing their technique and then working to adjust it to a method that suits them. By targeting specifically the areas the student feels they have trouble with, then completing exercises surrounding their broader current mathematics curriculum, I try to keep lessons varied to keep a student's interest and make sure we cover all areas that could be problematic.

My daughter was struggling with elements of maths at school so we employed Holly over the holidays to tutor her. Holly approaches tutoring in a friendly, positive, confident manner and my daughter was instantly at ease. Holly uses the same methods as my daughter was taught but in a more easily understandable way. One to one is invaluable. She really enjoyed her tutoring sessions and gained a full understanding of the areas she had been struggling in. She loves her maths lessons with Holly and we will certainly have her back again!
