About Sat
I am a mathematics teacher for last 20 years teaching Mathematics in Fiji for 14 years and have been teaching in New Zealand for last 10 years at various levels ( Y7- Y13s). I have clear learning intentions and success criteria for every lesson where students will know what they are learning , how will they learn and what's next. Very much student directed lessons and where students orientate , navigate and explore and become self -directed learners.
I am an experienced Mathematics teacher and have worked in different schools. I pride myself on fostering an approach based on positive reinforcement as well growth mind set. Through motivation and enthusiasm I create a learning environment where students are willing to take risk and willing to encounter challenges. I create a classroom environment where students are self –Directed and work on a journey of learning to learn. I have taught using VC (Video Conferencing) and Zoom and digital tools such as Moodle and Canvas.
