About Maia
My passion for Mathematics began with exploring patterns and logical relationships in everyday phenomena. This led me to pursue a B.Sc in Pure Mathematics, where I gained strong analytical, reasoning, and problem-solving skills. Over 8 years of teaching, I have developed a patient, structured, and engaging approach that helps learners master challenging concepts while building confidence and curiosity. I tailor instruction to individual learning styles, incorporating visual aids, examples, and stepwise reasoning. I encourage active participation, questioning, and reflective problem-solving to promote deeper understanding. Lessons focus on comprehension rather than rote memorization, empowering students to think independently. Outside teaching, I explore mathematical modeling, puzzles, and applied research. Integrating these experiences keeps lessons relevant, engaging, and stimulating. Watching students grow in competence, confidence, and analytical skill remains one of the most rewarding aspects of my work.
