About Charlotte
My connection with mathematics developed from a fascination with patterns, structure, and problem-solving logic. This led me to pursue a B.Sc in Applied Mathematics, where I deepened my understanding of both theoretical principles and practical applications. Over 12 years, I have guided learners from diverse backgrounds to build confidence in their analytical abilities, helping them transition from doubt to competence and enjoyment in the subject.
I approach teaching with patience, empathy, and clarity. Understanding how each student thinks is central to my methodology. I use visual aids, analogies, and step-by-step explanations to make abstract concepts intuitive. Lessons are structured yet flexible, ensuring that students feel encouraged to ask questions, explore different methods, and develop independence in problem-solving.
Beyond teaching, I remain engaged with mathematics through problem-solving practice, educational research, and curriculum development. This allows me to keep lessons relevant, modern, and stimulating. Teaching mathematics is highly rewarding because I witness students transform uncertainty into clarity, develop confidence, and cultivate analytical reasoning that serves them academically and beyond. Mathematics lessons become effective when learners understand the reasoning behind each concept rather than memorizing formulas.
