About Mara
I developed a passion for mathematics from a young age, captivated by the way numbers and patterns explain the world around us. This led me to pursue a Master’s degree in Applied Mathematics, where I honed my expertise in analysis, algebra, geometry, and applied problem-solving techniques. Over 7 years, I have guided learners from basic numeracy to advanced analytical thinking, helping them gain both competence and confidence in mathematics. My teaching style emphasizes clarity, patience, and the ability to adapt explanations to each student’s learning style, ensuring every learner can progress successfully.
I create a supportive and motivating environment, encouraging students to ask questions, explore multiple approaches, and learn from mistakes. Beginners receive guided exercises and foundational explanations. Intermediate learners develop skills in reasoning, problem-solving, and applied mathematics. Advanced students tackle challenging problems, proofs, and real-world applications that deepen understanding. My lessons integrate practice, discussion, and explanation to foster independent thinking and long-term mastery.

My lessons cover core topics such as algebra, geometry, trigonometry, probability, statistics, and calculus, tailored to each student’s level. Beginners focus on building solid foundations, understanding basic operations, equations, shapes, and problem-solving strategies. Intermediate learners explore advanced algebraic techniques, geometric reasoning, functions, and introductory calculus, strengthening logical thinking and analytical skills. Advanced students engage with calculus, probability theory, complex problem-solving, proofs, and real-world applications to deepen understanding and prepare for exams or higher studies.
I structure lessons to encourage active engagement, asking students to reason through problems, explore multiple solutions, and build confidence in tackling complex questions. Visual aids, diagrams, and real-life examples make abstract concepts accessible and relatable. Practice exercises are integrated into each lesson, helping students consolidate their understanding and build a strong problem-solving mindset. I focus on helping learners appreciate the logical beauty of mathematics while improving accuracy, efficiency, and analytical reasoning.
