About Alina
I discovered my passion for mathematics early, enjoying the challenge of solving problems and uncovering patterns. This led me to pursue an M.Sc in Mathematical Sciences, where I studied algebra, geometry, analysis, and modeling. Over 12 years of teaching, I have helped students of all levels—from elementary school math through middle school math, algebra, geometry, and SAT math—develop strong analytical skills and confidence. I teach with clarity, patience, and adaptability, using visual aids, structured explanations, and real-life examples to make abstract concepts tangible. I encourage students to ask questions, explore ideas, and approach problems independently. Each lesson is tailored to foster understanding, skill, and self-assurance. Outside teaching, I engage with mathematical literature, innovative educational tools, and analytical research to enrich my lessons. Watching learners progress from uncertainty to mastery and develop genuine appreciation for mathematics is one of the most rewarding aspects of my work.

Mathematics becomes enjoyable and accessible when learners understand the logic behind concepts rather than memorizing steps. I begin with elementary school math, including numerical operations, pattern recognition, and visual problem-solving strategies. From there, learners progress to middle school math, covering integers, fractions, ratios, introductory algebra, and geometry. Step-by-step explanations, guided exercises, and real-life examples help students build both conceptual understanding and confidence.
Intermediate lessons explore multi-step algebraic equations, coordinate geometry, functions, data interpretation, and problem-solving strategies. I also introduce SAT math preparation, focusing on time management, error reduction, and problem-solving efficiency. Each session emphasizes reasoning, analytical thinking, and practical application, ensuring learners can approach complex problems with confidence.
Advanced sessions integrate higher-order algebra, geometric proofs, statistical reasoning, and logical analysis. Students practice evaluating multiple solution approaches, communicating reasoning clearly, and applying concepts to unfamiliar situations. My teaching approach combines patience, encouragement, and structured guidance to develop both competence and confidence in mathematics.
