About Evan
I have been passionate about mathematics since childhood, drawn to logical reasoning, problem-solving, and patterns. I earned a B.Sc in Mathematics and an M.Sc in Applied Mathematics, equipping me with knowledge and expertise to teach elementary school math, middle school math, algebra, geometry, SAT math, and Calculus. Over 8 years, I have helped students develop understanding, confidence, and enjoyment in mathematics at all levels. My teaching emphasizes clarity, engagement, and adaptability. I use stepwise guidance, visual tools, practical examples, and interactive exercises to make concepts accessible. I encourage curiosity, independent thinking, and confidence in every lesson. Outside the classroom, I explore puzzles, research, and practical applications of mathematics to enrich lessons. Beginners focus on elementary school math and middle school math, learning arithmetic, fractions, decimals, and basic geometry. Intermediate students strengthen algebraic reasoning, SAT math strategies, and applied geometry skills. Advanced learners tackle Calculus, complex algebra, and multi-step problem-solving tasks, preparing for competitive exams or higher-level studies. Each lesson is paced carefully to ensure understanding and mastery while fostering curiosity and independent thinking.
