About Miles
I am a dedicated Mathematics tutor with over 7 years of teaching experience and an MSc in Actuarial Science. My teaching philosophy centers on building deep understanding rather than memorization. Over the years, I have successfully directed problem-solving workshops and coached students for mathematical competitions at school and pre-university levels. I enjoy breaking down complex questions into manageable steps. Students learn how to think, not just what to solve.
I specialize in number theory and advanced problem analysis, helping learners recognize patterns and apply logical deduction confidently. My sessions emphasize critical thinking and structured reasoning. I often introduce creative solution strategies so students can approach unfamiliar questions with confidence. My teaching approach in Mathematics is relaxed, clear, and focused on real understanding. I connect math with coding logic so students see how numbers control digital systems. Topics often include algebra, discrete mathematics, and algorithmic thinking. We discuss how computers actually follow instructions.
