Straight off the bat, it's always hard to figure out who to hire as a tutor. That's why I aim to offer the first lesson for free (half-hour lesson)! This alloys for an obligation-free lesson, helpfuly to build a connection and see if we are the right fit.
I take a student-centred approach to tutoring, focusing on understanding each student’s unique learning style and needs. My lessons are interactive and designed to make complex concepts in calculus, math, physics, and algebra more accessible and engaging. As a third-year engineering student myself, all the related knowledge is fresh, and I understand the difficulties we students have.
-Customised Lesson: I tailor practice problems and exercises to address specific areas where students need improvement, ensuring a personalised learning experience. Working through practice papers is a sure way of preparing for any upcoming test/exam and improving gaps.
-Interactive Problem Solving: I encourage students to work through problems step-by-step, providing guidance and feedback to build their problem-solving skills.
-Conceptual Understanding: I emphasise the underlying principles behind each topic to help students grasp the 'why' and 'how,' not just the 'what.'

Perfect! Harrison has been fantastic with our 15yr old son. Foster finds Harrison super relatable, friendly, and very clear in his explanations. Before tutoring, Algebra was Foster’s most difficult area, but with Harrison’s help, is feeling ‘it’s totally doable’. Music to this parents ears! We’re loving watch our son gain confidence and enjoy doing it.

Recommendations
Recommendations come from relatives, friends and acquaintances of the teacher
As someone who has known Harrison for three years it is evident that he is highly diligent and informed on the topics he enjoys. I would define him as an individual that is able to get his point across simply and understands the components of his answers enough to give intricate details that dive beyond the surface of what he is explaining. In times where my degree has required a mind that understands physics he has been a helpful guide in helping me navigate intricate problems in the physical world.
I’d definitely recommend Harrison as a tutor. He’s really good at what he teaches and actually helps you understand the work properly. He explains stuff in a way that makes it easier to get, and it’s made a big difference for me.
Harrison is an excellent teacher. I met him and did a few sessions. The first was free, and even still he provided me with so much value that it made complete sense to continue on. I needed his services for both L2 Maths and Physics, and he helped me get a far better grade than I had originally thought I could.
I would recommend Harrison to any superprof user to learn about physics and mathematics. He is also a very friendly guy, and is highly supportive of my academic goals.
