About Rio
Welcome! I am a mathematics educator with 15 years of teaching experience and a BSc in Mathematics and Computer Science. My passion lies in helping students explore advanced reasoning, propositional logic, and set theory in ways that are both engaging and understandable.
I focus on building strong conceptual foundations while encouraging curiosity and independent thinking. Lessons are designed to challenge analytical learners and guide them towards higher academic study with confidence. I enjoy breaking down complex ideas into manageable, thought-provoking steps that spark deeper understanding.

My teaching approach in mathematics is gentle, thoughtful, and focused on deep understanding rather than memorisation. I believe students learn best when they truly understand the “why” behind every concept. I guide learners through subjects like algebra, calculus, abstract algebra, number theory, and mathematical proofs with clarity and patience.
I also support advanced topics such as real analysis, linear algebra, and other theoretical areas in higher mathematics. Each lesson is structured but flexible to match the student’s pace and thinking style. I encourage questions and reflection at every step.
For independent learners and curious thinkers, I provide guidance that helps them explore ideas on their own. I help them build confidence in approaching complex theorems and proofs. My focus is on developing logical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Students are supported in discovering their own methods and strategies for learning mathematics. I make sure they feel comfortable working through challenges without pressure. I also assist with exam preparation and assignments in a clear and practical way.
