About Ollie
Hi I'm Ollie and I'm a second year maths undergraduate at Cambridge. I've always loved maths and enjoy sharing my passion for the subject with others. I like bringing out the best in people, whether that's on a football pitch, at an athletics track or with a maths problem. I am naturally curious, and a problem solver, which comes across in my approach to tutoring - looking to understand where we can improve, and working out the best way to support you. I look forward to meeting you!

I am broadly familiar with the current GCSE and A level curricula and common teaching methods, having obtained A levels in 2022. During my school years, I frequently helped classmates with their understanding of maths and found that helping them to developing a deeper understanding, rather than simply rote learning, was usually successful. I firmly believe that once you have a really solid grasp of the fundamentals, the solutions to many problems follow naturally from your current understanding. This, in essence, is my approach to tutoring. While I do not yet have formal experience as a maths tutor, my informal tutoring of classmates and younger family members has always been well received. In addition, I have 4 years experience as an athletics coach, so am used to assessing where someone's skills currently are, and working with them to progress and develop in the context of their current ability and future goals.
