I just moved to Toronto for my masters at University of Toronto! I teach french as it is my native language but also because I have taught french in the past to students ranging from the ages 6 to 15. I usually devise a plan for the entire year or month and advise the parent sit in the first class to ensure they are satisfied. I try to make teaching french fun , as it can be a hard language and always start my classes with questions on the previous class. French is about practice, I make sure to test them regularly. Pro tip: Encourage your child to watch movies in french with subtitles at least once a week, so that they get used to the cadence. It is hard at first but it gets easier after a few months. You can start with movies they have already watched in the past in their native language.
