About Aaron
I am a recent Graduate from Virginia Tech with a BS in Mechanical Engineering and Minor in Biomedical Engineering. I currently work as a biomedical engineer in 3D Systems in Littleton Colorado. I enjoy teaching other new skills and present information from different angles to see that there are numerous way to solve a problem. I have been a swim coach for over 8 years and I am also an Eagle scout both of which have helped me develop my communication skills specifically in guiding and teaching others.

I have been teaching swim lessons for over 8 years and have gained the skills to revise my teaching strategy to fit the students learning needs. I plan to bring these teaching skills into the academic climate. I have two main teaching ideologies. I firmly believe in teaching concepts rather than a cut and dry method on how to approach problems and I also believe the most important aspect in learning is to learn from MISTAKES. In a typical tutoring session I would begin by reviewing the students mistakes whether they are from homework, tests, quizzes, etc. and have them explain their thought process as well as show them a correct solution step by step. I would then proceed to conduct a lesson on their current subject however I plan to teach them in a way that makes sense to the student whether it be visually or hands on or just explaining a different technique in a way they can understand. I also know that I may not know EVERYTHING there is to know on a subject so if there is a question I cannot explain at the moment I will provide a solution/explanation outside of the tutoring hours in order to maximize the students learning. My lessons are for anyone 1st-12th grade mainly in mathematics (Arithmetic, Trigonometry, Geometry, Pre-Algebra, Algebra, and Calculus) and science (Chemistry, Physics, Physiology). I would be happy to review other subjects of study if requested.
