About Mahdi

Hi, I’m Mahdi, a mechanical engineer based in New Zealand with a background in energy research and data analysis. My academic and research work has involved applying math, thermodynamics, and heat transfer to practical engineering problems.

I enjoy making technical ideas easier to understand and helping others build confidence in subjects that can initially feel challenging. Having spent many years studying engineering, I understand how much difference a clear explanation and a patient approach can make.

I want to share what I have learned and help students develop both their understanding and their ability to solve problems independently. You can expect a friendly, respectful learning environment where questions are welcome and we work through difficulties together.

About the lesson

My lessons focus on helping you understand the reasoning behind equations and develop the confidence to solve problems independently. I break complex topics into manageable steps, use practical engineering examples, and combine clear explanations with guided exercises.

I offer online tutoring in maths, thermodynamics, heat transfer, and data analysis, primarily for university and diploma students. My mechanical engineering background and research experience allow me to connect theory with practical applications.

Lessons typically last 60 minutes and are tailored to your level, course content, and goals. You can share topics or practice questions beforehand so we can focus on what you need most, whether that is strengthening the basics, revising for exams, or understanding a challenging concept.

I aim to create a patient, supportive environment where you feel comfortable asking questions and learning at your own pace.
