About Daniel
Hi my name is Daniel and I am looking to be your tutor. At a young age I was not incredibly academically gifted and lacked focus in many of my lessons. This led to my parents hiring private tutors for me, however, they never seemed to work as their main approach was to either try to drill answers into my head or to be incredibly stern and use fear to try and motivate me. I believe that this is the completely wrong approach to teaching. In my sessions, my main goal is to give the student a greater understanding of the topics rather than just feed them answers. Another one of my goals is to spark genuine interest in academia, as I believe that if one is interested in a topic, learning skills within that topic starts to feel like less of a chore and more like a privilege, allowing them to become even more proficient in the subject.

Typical lessons will last 55 minutes to an hour following the pomodoro method of 2 sets of 25 minutes of work followed by a 5 minute break in order to maximise focus and efficiency. As a tutor I am not strict, preferring to alter my teaching style in order to fit your child's learning profile.
My Qualifications:
- Eight 9s in GCSE's and two 8s
- Achieved A*A*A in A-levels (Maths, Physics and Economics)
- Currently studying at the University of Bristol to Earn a Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering
