I am a mechanical engineering student who is minoring in Japanese language and culture. I love to play guitar, write, read, and brew coffee. I believe it is my duty to give 100% in all that I do, so I spend a lot of time on all of my interests.

I like to follow the Japanese philosophy of Kaizen-- making gradual improvement the goal, rather than an overload of information. In a typical lesson, I will get to know the student's learning styles, assess the student's level of understanding, and then begin teaching and going through examples. I will ensure that the student understands each and every step of the problem, rather than just the answer.
