About Tom
I hold a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Irvine, and I am a licensed California Professional Engineer (PE) with over 15 years of licensure and more than 20 years of industry experience. I have worked on real-world engineering projects across multiple disciplines, giving me a strong practical foundation beyond textbooks. In my teaching, I focus on clear explanations, structured problem-solving, and helping students truly understand engineering concepts rather than memorizing formulas. I enjoy working with undergraduate and graduate students, as well as professionals preparing for FE or PE exams, and I tailor each lesson to the student’s goals, background, and learning style.

I hold a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Irvine, and I am a licensed California Professional Engineer (PE) with over 15 years of licensure and 20 years of real-world industry experience.
I teach Mechanical Engineering concepts with a strong focus on practical understanding, problem-solving, and real engineering applications. My goal is to help students not only succeed academically, but also build the skills and engineering mindset needed for internships, exams, and professional practice.
